On Thursday, The Atlantic’s editor in chief, Maureen Dowd, will be publishing her first article since Donald Trump took office in January.
She’ll be tackling the challenges facing American citizens and the nation’s new president in an article titled, “The White House Interior Design magazine.”
Dowd will also be launching an online magazine called the White House Design Journal, which will feature interviews with architects, interior designers and other industry experts to share their perspectives on the challenges confronting American citizens in the era of Trump.
The magazine will cover interior design trends from architecture to interior design, as well as the industry in general.
Dowd said the magazine will also explore issues like immigration, women, and the LGBTQ community.
“I want to bring people into the conversation on how we design the country, but I also want to make sure we’re the ones who can tell our own story and tell the story of what it means to be a woman in America,” Dowd told CBC News.
“When we design for our own community, we create something that’s uniquely American.
And I want to share that.”
Dowd is not the only editor in the new magazine to have a hand in shaping its contents.
The magazine will be published by The Atlantic in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with a new title and editor in each language.
The first issue will be available for free on Friday, December 15.
The next issue will hit newsstands on Friday December 23.
